TRAINING & EDUCATION

If your dog has behavior problems the worst thing you can do is to take it to training
classes.  Behavior problems can only be dealt with on a one to one basis following
professional instructions that are specific to the behavior problem. Most people tell
me that classes simply made the problem much worse than it was to start with so the
fact of the matter is that a lot of people are giving dog owners the wrong advice and
this is because they simply do not understand dogs either.
 
If your dog has any behavior problems and you have been told to go to classes, squirt
your dog with a water pistol, make loud noises, be cruel to your dog or use other
devices then these methods will probably be making the problem much worse and
you will be spending  a lot of money for nothing with no positive results.
 
WHAT IS DOG TRAINING?

Dog training is a method of teaching your dog to do things (actions that you want
your dog to repeat on command sit, stay or simply just walk pleasantly on the lead)

WHAT IS A BEHAVIOR PROBLEM?

Behavior problems are undesirable behaviors exhibited by dogs that humans  find  unacceptable such as barking, pulling on lead, jumping up, biting, chewing and aggression. 

These two areas must be dealt with on an individual basis otherwise dogs get confused and do not function in a rational manner.
